Where engineering and aesthetics share the same language.
GUREN was founded by Sarp Gürenli in Istanbul in 2020 with a single operating principle: that the most beautiful yachts are those where every dimension is the minimum necessary to do the job correctly.
We operate at the intersection of naval architecture and industrial design — taking commissions where the technical and the aesthetic cannot be separated. Our projects range from production powerboats to 60-metre private yachts, from competitive sailing platforms to oceanographic research vessels.
The studio works closely with a small network of trusted engineering consultants and classification surveyors to deliver complete technical packages — from concept sketches through to build supervision.
Hull profiles, superstructure geometry, deck layout. We draw from first principles — every surface answering to both physics and proportion.
Hydrostatics, stability, structural engineering and resistance analysis. The numbers that make a vessel safe, seakindly and efficient for its entire working life.
Owner representation from preliminary design through delivery. We keep the technical brief intact from drawing board to waterline.
Early-stage studies to define what is possible within a brief before significant money is committed. The cheapest drawing to change is the first one.
We listen before we draw. An initial meeting — remote or in Istanbul — to establish operational requirements, scale, and aesthetic direction.
Preliminary sketches and a first naval architecture study. Nothing is fixed; this is where ambition meets constraint and we find the edges of what is possible.
Lines plans, GA drawings, structural calculations. The concept becomes a buildable vessel with all the technical data a yard needs to price and construct it.
We stay with the project. Site visits, drawing clarifications, technical responses to builder queries — the design is defended through to delivery.
